What are we doing in the Career Fair Committee?

Are you social, interested in corporate relations and want to be a part of arranging the Guild’s career fair KULA? Then the Career Fair Committee is something for you! We in the Career Fair Committee are together with the Corporate Relations Committee the face of the Guild towards corporations. We are responsible for planning and organizing the career fair KULA. The Career Fair Committee’s work starts in January and proceeds throughout the whole year. No previous experience is required.

In the Career Fair Committee you will get a good insight in how the world of the corporations work and what opportunities there are after getting your degree. You will learn how to communicate in an effective and professional manner which will benefit you in the future. You will also get to know new people in the Guild and create important connections with potential employers. During your time in the Career Fair Committee you will also take part of the great community of the K-Guild and get to learn new people within the Guild.

Head of the Career Fair

As the Head of the Career Fair Committee, I’m learning how to plan big projects and how to hold a bigger event. I’m learning how to do budgets, hold meetings and be responsible for a group of people. It is fun to face different challenges and lead a wonderful and dedicated committee. The work takes time and dedication, but it is at same time incredibly thrilling, rewarding and educational.

Career Fair Contact

We who are Career Fair Contacts work together with the Head of the Committee to plan the Guild’s career fair. We contribute ideas, which companies we want to partake and we also contact them before the fair. We take care of the contact with our company representatives, such as sending out contracts and maintaining the relationship between the Guild and old companies. We also advertise the committee and arrange some smaller events during the year.

Being a Career Fair Contact includes getting to know a lot of new people, future employers and other members of the Guild. We contribute to the students looking forward to the working life and finding out what fits them. Being a Career Fair Contact includes a lot of work and a big responsibility, but because we are many members in the committee helping out and we work during the whole year, the work for each member is perfectly fine.

Head of Logistics

As the Head of Logistics, you work together with the rest of the Committee to plan the Guild's career fair, focusing on logistics as your area of responsibility. This primarily involves a lot of work on how the fair should be organized to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. The Head of Logistics also has a significant responsibility in coordinating the event so that it functions optimally throughout the day. In addition, the Head of Logistics works similarly to the Career Fair Contacts in managing company outreach and contributing ideas for the career fair.

The position of Head of Logistics is very educational when it comes to planning an event. You develop your skills in organizing and structuring things efficiently. The role involves a lot of work, but you also receive considerable support from both the Head of the Career Fair Committee and the Career Fair Contacts. Furthermore, you get the chance to build connections with company representatives and the Guild members.

Head of Marketing

As the Head of Marketing, you work together with the rest of the Committee to plan the Guild's career fair, with marketing as your area of responsibility. This includes being responsible for the KULA catalog, managing Instagram, and playing a significant role in the design of posters and the website. In addition, the Head of Marketing works similarly to the Career Fair Contacts in managing company outreach and contributing ideas for the fair.

In this position, you get to know new people in the Guild, as well as company representatives and potential employers. The role provides experience in how to best market an event to both companies and the Guild. The work also involves a degree of creative freedom, particularly when it comes to poster design. The Head of Marketing is one of the positions in the Committee that requires the most engagement, but you naturally receive a lot of support from the rest of the Committee, which results in a manageable workload.
