What do we do in the Gadget Committee?

We in the Gadget Committee are responsible for the Guild’s material, equipment and technology, and we make sure that everything stays in tip-top shape and is stored in a smart way. We are responsible for the contracts regarding bookings of the Guild’s premises and for renting out other equipment. We also develop merch which K-guild members later can buy.

As a member of the Gadget Committee you will grow by doing a lot of fun practical elements like connecting advanced technology and mending cool equipment. On several occasions you will also become the Guild’s hero because very few other people have your skills! You also get the chance to work creatively and develop new merch for the Guild. The Gadget Committee is a cozy Committee that is relatively small and new, which makes it possible to become very close as a Committee, and the opportunities to explore new ideas and buy cool equipment with the Guild’s money are great!

Head of the Gadget Committee

As Head of the Gadget Committee, I am the leader of the Gadget Committee and responsible for making sure that the storage spaces are structured, that the equipment is intact and that the technology is working! I write the contracts regarding the Guild’s premises and equipment, and you are supposed to contact me if you need help with anything related to this. I also run the Committee’s administration and economy, and I make sure that we have Committee meetings to discuss new projects and ideas.

As Head of the Gadget Committee, you get to lead a handy and cozy Committee in which you get to improve your organizational skills as well as your project- and leader skills. As Head of the Gadget Committee, a lot of people will often ask you questions about technology and booking, which is fun, but it also requires you to improve your ability to handle those situations. There are great opportunities to come up with new events, both with the Gadget Committee and together with other Committees!

Vice Head of the Gadget Committee

Like the rest of the Gadget Committee, I am responsible for making sure that the equipment and technology is handled correctly. As Vice Head of the Gadget Committee, I also work very closely together with the Head of the Gadget Committee and I can relieve the head of the committee of some of its duties.

As Vice Head of the Gadget Committee you will get to know the Head of the Gadget Committee better and have a lot of great times together. You will also learn more about taking responsibility and group dynamics in your position that requires you to be a little more responsible, which is really fun! The position is a bit more time consuming compared to being a Gadget Ion, but taking more responsibility will make practical and creative projects funnier for you! The position as Vice Head of the Gadget Committee is very new, so there is great potential for development!

Gadget Ion

We as Gadget Ions help out with the work of the committee – with everything from fixing technology to questions about equipment. We participate in brainstorming ideas, projects and events that the committee holds during the year. As Gadget Ions, you can come up with a lot of exciting ideas like equipment that the Guild should invest in or creative crafts that will make Gallien a cozier place.

As a Gadget Ion you will get to work with your hands a lot and with everything from simple to advanced technology, and you will also get access to many of the Guild’s premises and storage spaces. No previous knowledge is required. As long as you are interested you can learn all the secrets about technology and equipment that the Guild has to offer.
