We are the Guild’s most handsome committee and are responsible for giving out the K-Guild's medals!

What do we do in The Honours Committee?

In The Honours Committee, we gather nominations for volunteers or other guild members who have stood out during the year and made a contribution to the K-Guild. During the Kalibrering (our yearly spring ball) we give out medals to students, based on these nominations. Medals work as a reward and encouragement for the Guild’s members. We also organize different ceremonial events, evaluate and execute the K-marking of different locations, as well as make sure that the K-banner is carried during formal events. Other than The Head of The Honours Committee, and the Standard-bearer, The Honours Committee also consists of one student from each year, which means that with us there is a great opportunity to get to know students from different classes. There is also opportunity to develop new medals. We can also collaborate with different committees and arrange events, which makes our committee a great place to meet new people.

Head of the Honours Committee

As Head of the committee you get the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and collaboration skills. The Honours Committee is quite a small committee, and that comes with both pros and cons! The committee usually has great unity, a result of being so few members, but it may also be challenging to create a good working environment and cooperation.

Standard-bearer

As the Standard-bearer, my primary responsibility is to carry the Guild’s banner during ceremonial events, when the Guild needs to show itself off a little extra. I also help the Honours Committee with its other tasks.

As Standard-bearer you get to represent The Guild, and you also get the opportunity to wear your formal wear and feel extra fancy. You also get to know the other Standard-bearers, from other guilds at LTH.

Honour Ion

As Honour Ion, our primary task is to help The Head of the Honours Committee to gather nominations for medals, and also give out said medals. We also come up with ideas for events that The Honours Committee can host with other Committees, or on our own. There is one student from each year, representing their class as Honour Ion.

As an Honour Ion you are challenged to be objective with nominations to medals, and you also get an insight into the Guild’s workings as well as its members. If you are creative or have some great ideas on how to best honour the K-Guild’s members, then this post is something for you!
